Ellie Kreischer

Ellie’s work is influenced by her interest in Swedish artist Hilma af Klint. Since researching the Swedish artist, Ellie has begun to shift her work practice to focus on meditation and working intuitively.

In Kreischer’s new series of paintings she uses color pencil and matte acrylic as well as oil paint and marble dust to create overlapping forms and layers of color. There is a playfulness about the pieces.

Ellie currently teaches studio art at Miss Hall's School in Pittsfield, MA. She continues to research the life and work of Hilma through traveling to see her shows and reading her writings.

Ellie lives and works in the Berkshires.
