Sonya Sklaroff
Sonya Sklaroff’s work records her experiences in the world around her. Her new work focuses on the relationship between abstraction and representation. She is inspired by objects and scenes she encounters in her daily life and her travels, and either paints on location or in her studio using a stream of consciousness spontaneous layering technique. She experiments with texture, color, and imagery to create joyous and bold explosions of pattern, light, and form.
Sklaroff lives and works in New York City.
